doodle pong

started this new project called "doodle pong". it's like ping pong minus the sweat. trade in the bats for pens and table for paper and the doodle pong session was on like donkey kong. even got doodlers from around the world to contribute and right now it's somewhere in the states waiting to be "ponged" back to me before i can "ping" it to someone else. here's how the doodle pong entitled "oodles of noodle" took shape...

tokidoki doodles!

since i was on a roll, figured i'd write to mr tokidoki himself, simone legno. for the uninitiated, tokidoki is the wonderfully kawaii characters like sabochan, adios, SANdy, bastardino. yes that same one that has all the girls crazy for lesportsac bags. mind you, this italian talent is busy jetsetting across the globe doing signings, collaborations, store openings, etc. i was stoked when he replied saying he likes the wantondoodles site and more so when he actually took time out from his busy schedule to submit doodles and gave it that singaporean flavour when i told him where i'm from. it's very comforting to know someone who hasnt let fame get the better of them. almost makes me wanna buy more lesportsac bags. since i cant quite carry 'em off, did the next best thing. bought the new adios and ciao ciao vinyls. check out super nice guy simone's doodles at www.wantondoodles.com/doodles_tokidoki.htm and if you're one of the rare few still stuck under a rock and clueless about tokidoki, check out simone's delicious works at www.tokidoki.it

the burgerman actually doodled for me

jon burgerman - world's most hardworking doodler or, in his own words, duudler, sent me some doodles. was so blown over. since i started this website asking for people to submit doodles, have had a glut of doodle submissions at a rate of about oh, let's just say, a ballpark figure of 1 doodle per fortnight. so when i decided to write to mr burgerman i wasnt very hopeful. but since i really like the guy's work, i thought why not. after all, i've had many dreams crushed including that of playing for man utd when i realised i lack the talent. so email non-response shouldnt be too ego-detrimental. to my surprise, he replied promptly. and he must have like five gazillion emails to attend to. the man's a robot i tell ya. and here are his amazing duudles, posted at http://www.wantondoodles.com/doodles_jonburgerman.htm. you can enjoy more of his work at www.jonburgerman.com
